  Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
  to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She
  placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
  She never wants to go back! LoL I know this
  is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

  I leave a response whenever I appreciate a article on a
  site or if I have something to valuable to contribute to the discussion.
  Usually it's caused by the sincerness displayed in the post I browsed. And on this post Paddle for the Peace Builds Momentum Against Site C Dam. I was actually moved enough to drop a thought :-P I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it's okay.
  Is it just me or does it look like some of these responses look as if they are written by brain dead people?
  :-P And, if you are writing at additional sites, I'd like to follow you. Would you list all of all your public pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?

  I'm not impressed with the NDP either. They may be against the Enbridge pipeline but nary a word about the Kinder Morgan expansion, the 20 years of water given to Talisman for gas fracking, the industrialization of Northern BC, IPPs, salmon farms. Beautiful BC indeed. What we need is to stop our rampant consumption and acting like we don't need to leave anything for our children and their children. I will be looking to the Green party as well.

  Ceadog: Earlier this year, Christy Clark stated that 100% of the power from Site C was needed for just one of the proposed LNG plants in Kitimat. She didn't say that the LNG plant would pay for construction of the dam though. So, who's paying? You and me. Do you really think that we need to subsidize the gas industry?

  As a lifetime resident of BC I am critical of the naysayers
  of a new dam.
  Look at the rates that are paid in the US,where elctrical rates are in the hundreds of dollars each month.
  BC has yet to begin to really bear the brunt of astronomical new hydro rates in BC.
  We in BC have been paying the lowest rates of Hydro power over a number of years,but now the free ride of cheap rates is over.
  BC has an abundance of water to generate hydro power and still remain in some control over our power and our rates in comparison to the rest of Canada.
  While I sympathise in the flooding that will be required to prepare fora new dam,just where and how do
  BC consumers expect to get the maximum benefits of electricity,along with the lowest rates .
  Look at Alberta,and the US who now are paying monstrous rates for electricity.
  Alberta is even worse as they use coal for electrical generation of power.
  BC Hydro makes the smallest carbon footprint,with no emissions in comparison to nuclear,coal,natural gas,etc.
  So respectfully I ask the question can we in BC afford to allow private partnerships such as Campbell negotiated at 3 times the rates that we pay now.
  BC cannot have it both ways.

  My vote will be for the Green party. Adrian Dix needs to be representing the will of the people if he hopes to become premier of our province. We've had enough of politicians representing corporate greed and exploiting people and resources. Politicians have failed us across the board and across this country. We need CHANGE! Let's make it happen!
