The Common Sense Canadian was created to serve as an independent voice for the public - investigating, reporting and commenting on the stories that really matter to the public - issues like water, energy, food security, government corruption, and democracy - with incisive, thoughtful coverage you won't find elsewhere. We are a small-scale operation with only two full-time staff, Rafe Mair and Damien Gillis, no office, virtually no expenses, and we rely a great deal on the time, wisdom, and skills of our excellent group of 25 volunteer contributors. Nevertheless, we require some resources to do the job at hand. In order to make that a reality - while remaining completely independent - we need the public's help. We provide all our content freely - only asking that those who find it of value consider contributing whatever they are able.
We thank you for helping us protect the environment and public good through quality, free, and independent Canadian media.
